OUR SENSORY ROOM

 A sensory room is a specially designed space that provides a range of stimuli—such as lights, sounds, textures, and scents—to help children  and adults with disabilities engage their senses in a calming, therapeutic way. 

These rooms are essential for children with sensory processing challenges, as they can promote relaxation, focus, and emotional regulation. 

Unfortunately, sensory rooms are still quite limited in Ghana, where resources for children with disabilities are scarce. The lack of these spaces means that many children miss out on vital opportunities for sensory integration and emotional development, making it even more crucial to create such environments to support their well-being and growth. 

This room provides our children with a safe space so that they can improve their emotional regulation, communication, motor development, sensory integration and socialisation. It is extremely important to help improve their day-to-day living.
